Although the expression of miR-124-3p and -125b-5p decreased gradually with an increase in HG-exposure time and concomitant with the early development of DR, miR-135b-5p, -145-5p, -146a-5p, and -199a-5p were upregulated on the first day and then downregulated on the following days (Figure 2(a)).
