A total of 6 (out of 55) miRNAs; 4 (miR1136, miR1436, miR167, miR5205) from 5DL, 4 (miR1122, miR1136, miR1436, miR1439) from 5DS, and 2(miR1136 and miR1436) of which were located in both chromosome arms matched an EST with no significant similarity to known proteins (Table 3), suggesting that these putative pre-miRNA sequences are transcribed.
